Wow how the days fly by

My daughter Sonja graduated from 5th grade this week, she's going on to middle school. This is such an important time in her life this is when the issues all start. Luckily she is so into school, she loves learning and really enjoys it. Matter of fact she got commended on all three of her Taks tests, she missed one or two on each of the three tests. I am so proud of her!

These are three girls that are graduating from Booker T Washington High School this year. I had so much fun doing their photos. These are a few of my favs....

See what happens when you sit on the ground, they swarm at you. These little pups are so darn cute I hate to let them all go. I will miss them so much.

Keeping up with my blog.....

Okay so I orginally started this blog because of my love for photography, as you can see I have not been keeping up with it, so I plan to start posting more...

This past Saturday was my B-day....I turned 32! Yikes! LOL, I had a good time, my boyfriend took me out to eat along with my best friend Cynthia, she came down from New Orleans, my brother and his fiance and my mom also joined us. It was great to all eat together......

So since Jr and Tiffany are getting married, he popped the question a week ago to her...and she asked me to be her maid of honor, I am so honored (lol)...Her birthday was 4/21 so I made her the most amazing gift (as she put it)....I made her a wedding planner, notebook, clip board and put it all in a really cute bag. Her colors are black and white and yellow. Take a look at the pictures below! The clipboard has a list of what to do when (note the words on the back), the yellow folder has different slots inside so she can put ideas, magazine clippings or examples of items and then the bag holds it all together...I think it turned out great!

3, then 5, then 7...oh my now 10, wake up in the middle of the night (2:37am) and OMG 12 PUPPIES!

Yep that is right, our girl, who we thought would only have 7 maybe 8 puppies well low and behold they didn't stop coming...there are 12 puppies. Yeah 12. Pitbulls are known to have large litters but not usually their first litter, this was a surprise to us. We finally went to sleep at 11:30pm about an hour after she had the 10th puppy and figured she was done. Cleaned her welping box out added new bedding and went to be.

I wake up to my boyfriend saying I think something is wrong, she had just soiled her bedding again. So I get up and I say okay lets get her and the puppies out and I'll change it again. So while I am grabbing the puppies two at a time I am counting them....2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.....WAIT 12???? WTH? Where did two more puppies come from? We are so shocked....

Mom is doing really good, she is a great mommy....I'll be getting with the vet tomorrow to see about adding in some extra milk, cause I cannot see her milk lasting too long with so many mouths to feed.

Luckily we have about 4 maybe 5 pre-sold, but that still leaves us with 7 or 8...WOW! Any one know of a responsible person looking for a beautiful pitbull? LOL! Seriously we will only sell to people who come referred or we throughly check the owner out. If you are thinking about it...we do have a contract and unless you are a breeder, you'll be required to have the puppy fixed, plus if you cannot keep the dog you HAVE to give the pup back to us, no selling it off or giving it away.

LOL!!! Okay so these are technically maternity shots, she is pregnant, not the typical ones you thought they would be though. I could not resisit.....SORRY!

This is our lovely pitbull named Solae, she's due to have puppies within the next week or week in a half.

It has been forever since I did POTD but I'm trying to get back into it now. I really didn't do much with these shots, these are SOOC. Not sure what the theme is this week, but I will brush up so I know next time!

Day 26

Words for today......CATCHING AIR! LOL! Okay so I didn't picture the words catching air but I did take a picture of my dog catching air.

Our dogs like playing with a rope, my boyfriend is 5'11" and was holding this rope over his head and my dog love to jump and catch it and then play tug a war with it, then steal it away and run under the trampoline and tear it up.

To be a dog, it's amazing what makes them happy.

Day 25

Yeah so I've missed two days.....no big deal I guess....I've been sick. I've had this cold now for about a week but these last few days have been really bad. I'm actually feeling better today.

Anyways....still on theme, WORDS.

This word is something I am looking forward to....all they have left to do is some touch ups and add all the appliances, I'm predicting a mid to late Feburary closing. Let's hope!

Day 22

Words.....today are words a seven year old must read. My son has a daily reading assignment everyday. Usually it consists of two books to read with me or to me and then I have to sign off on the paper to acknowledge that he did in fact do it. So tonight.....his words were my inspiration.

Day 21

So words.....well what better word...or words then the name of my most favorite drink in the whole wide world...Wild Cherry Pepsi.

I (heart) Wild Cherry Pepsi, just about as much as I love FROGS!

Day 20

OMG....YEP I MISSED A DANG DAY.....why? Ummm let's see...I spent the day with my honey.

Oh well....I have been doing good, it's okay to take a day off. BUT I am back on track today and on theme.

This is a photo of a word plaque that I have hanging along my stairs, it's one of four and they together have similar meanings but today I figured I'd start with the one I like the most. Something I hope to really achieve one day in my really hectic life.

Day 18

So I pulled up an old pic of me and my boyfriend (since he avoids me and I have no cute current pics) and just played around with it. I lightened the photo, mixed the background around to take away the distraction, cropped in some, smoothed my skin a little (it looked bad), added a warming filter and then made the photo kinda grainy (is that a word) and then added the vignette.

What do you think? I'll tell you what I think - not sure if I like the background, but I kinda "saved the photo" in other ways, by the way......this was taken with a point and shoot in my old suv with no flash, not with my dslr.

Day 17

So today was just an easy play...just played with the colors and cropped the photos. These pictures are of my two puppies, yes they are only 1 yr old. My boy Kaos (one on the left) is 80lbs and my girl Solae (one on the right) is 74lbs. They are BIG puppies. And yes they are pitbull, blue pitbulls actually. I'm advocate for pitbulls, they really do get a bad rap, but hey I won't get into that here, I'm sure there are some that do not agree.
